HR POLICY

 

PREVENTION OF CHILD LABOR

We do not engage in the use of child labor. SWEEK PAK has developed this policy by considering and implementing in the light of ILO conventions 138 and 182 already ratified by Govt. of Pakistan that a child equal to or below the age of 15 years of age are not allowed to work inside factory premises or any of its workplaces or manufacturing process at any circumstances.

 

FORCED LABOR

All workers are paid and work voluntarily. SWEEK PAK does not engage in or support the use of forced labor in any condition, even if employment is provided on a formal contract with determined conditions, which is not against the local labor law. We do not engage or employ people, under any circumstances, against their own free will.

 

REMUNERATION

Salary, overtime, leaves, leave encashment, social security, employee old-age benefit, pension, insurance, gratuity, and annual bonuses are paid according to labor law.

 

DISCIPLINARY PRACTICES

We treat all our workers with reverence and respect. SWEEK PAK ensures the protection and the rights of its stakeholders. We ensure there are no threats of mental or physical punishments, fines, verbal abuses, sexual or other harassment.

 

WAGES AND BENEFITS

SWEEK PAK always seeks the farewell and betterment of its employees' wages and benefits, by complying with all applicable laws related to employee compensation, including those related to minimum wage, overtime hours, and legally mandated benefits.

 

MEAL AND PRAYER BREAK

We provide the meal and prayer break with the consent of workers with the timings of (Saturday to Thursday 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm) and (Friday 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm).

 

WORKING HOURS

By complying with local laws or agreements regarding working hours, overtime hours, and work during holidays, our working hours are not more than 8 hours per day (48 hours per week) and overtime does not exceed the limit of 2 hours per day (12 hours per week) at SWEEK PAK.

 

OVERTIME POLICY

SWEEK PAK does not force any worker to do overtime. Overtime hours and payment shall be made as per labor law and workplace standard guidelines.

 

NON-DISCRIMINATION

We have non-discrimination by respecting diversity in the workplace. SWEEK PAK does not discriminate with the employees based on personal characteristics or beliefs, such as in hiring, salary, benefits, remuneration, training opportunities, work assignments, advancement, discipline, promotion, termination, or retirement, race, caste, national origin, color, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, pregnancy, association membership, political affiliation, or age.

 

HIRING POLICY

Our HR department would hire the appropriate person as per vacant job specifications without any discrimination. The entire application will be treated according to their qualification and job requirements under consideration of merit base. Moreover, the HR department will hire the employee by use of all possible means like advertising in the newspaper, chamber notice board, factory notice boards, banners on-road, and also on websites.

SWEEK PAK is committed to creating a better working environment for its employees by implementing and sustaining social accountability requirements to provide and ensure their basic rights. We believe in educating our workers and suppliers/contractors on the policies and procedures to maintain the highest ethical standards.

 

RIGHT OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

Here employees have a right to association and collective bargaining.

 

COVID-19 SOPS

We update the covid-19 preparedness, response, and control plans for resuming normal or phased activities to reduce transmission amongst employees, sustain healthy business operations and maintain a healthy work environment. These guidelines are designed for the planning, risk assessment, and implementation of preventive and protective measures for safe and healthy working conditions to protect our workers. SWEEK PAK plays a role to protect its employees and helps to prevent the further spread of the disease. We also provide covid-19 vaccination to our employees.

 

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION

SWEEK PAK respects the legal rights of employees to join any organization of their own choice, associate with whomever they choose, and engage in collective bargaining. There is no intimidation or harassment in the exercise of employees associating with other people or organizations. We respect to become members of a labor union or otherwise.
